On September 30th, 2023, a passionate group of customer experience (CX) professionals gathered with a transformative vision: to create a unified community dedicated to raising the standards and effectiveness of customer experience delivery in Uganda. This landmark meeting marked the birth of the Customer Experience Association of Uganda, an organization committed to advancing CX practices across the nation.
Meeting with like-minded professionals was invigorating. Many of us had long sought a platform to drive impactful change in CX on a large scale but lacked a cohesive vehicle to do so. Unlike other professions, customer experience had no recognized body to champion its agenda. As a result, the overall contribution of CX to business was often misunderstood and underappreciated. We all recognized the critical need for an association to highlight the key role that CX plays in business growth and sustainability.
We resolved that upon establishing the association, our focus would be on promoting professional CX standards, elevating the profile of CX professionals, and recognizing their invaluable contributions to organizations and the industry. Our mission includes advancing CX practice and education, providing essential resources, and facilitating collaboration, strategic partnerships, and networking opportunities.
